Hi Friends and Family!

You may be wondering, what, exactly is iSixtyOne?  Is it an interstate?

The short answer is iSixtyOne stands for Isaiah 61, which may look familiar because it is repeated in Luke 4 when Jesus reads at the synagogue.

This passage is important to me because Jesus used it to declare His mission statement as the Messiah.  Not only does it describe what He has done for us, but it also outlines what Christians are called to do in the world.  I think this passage accurately describes what it means to bring the “good news” to those around us.  I take this call very seriously and have made it my own personal mission statement.  Jesus was the perfect example of how to live, and I aim to follow His example.

Isaiah 61 also supports 1 Corinthians 13, Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 25:31-46, and  1 John 4:7-21.

This blog serves two purposes.  The first is to write my thoughts and insights on living the iSixtyOne lifestyle.  The second is to raise funds for missions trips, volunteer work, and research.  If you would like to support me in these efforts, you can donate online through PayPal by clicking on the “Donate” button on the right side of the page.  You don’t need a PayPal account to do this.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!  You can email me at i61contact@gmail.com
