Big Announcement…sort of

I know I haven’t been blogging much.  I’m in DC having a fabulous time seeing some dearly missed friends.  I have just under two weeks left in the District, and I’m already feeling a little bit sad about having to leave again.  However, I am feeling more at peace about it now that I have a little bit more information about what will be happening this spring.

As some of you may remember, I announced earlier this fall that I have an internship with World Vision International.  I have been waiting this whole time to find out the location and the nature of the type of work I’ll be doing.  Well, today I had a training at the DC office with the other GW students who are also interning with WVI this spring.  I was really hoping to find out my country today.  Erin, the lady doing the training, said she didn’t want to tell me anything until things were nailed down 100%.  However, she did tell me the definite region.  So, drum roll please……

It looks like I’ll be going to

East Africa

For those of you who aren’t too sure about geography, after looking at the map and comparing it to the list of countries where WVI works, it seems the two biggest possibilities are Ethiopia and Mozambique.  Those are just conjecture, but I hope to be giving the real big announcement sometime soon.

Needless to say, I am SUPER excited.

  1. If you go to Mozambique, let me know! I have a friend who has a ton of friends there! Excited for you Quinn. Such a world traveler! 😉

  2. Eagerly awaiting the news . . . !
