For those of you who don’t know me in real life but have been following this blog, you may find it curious that I’m posting today. I’m supposed to be on a flight back to the States after all. Well, unfortunately I’m not. Less than 12 hours before my first flight was supposed to take off it was canceled. I don’t know why, and it’s obviously not weather related. As soon as I got the email, I called to get my flight rescheduled. There weren’t any available flights for today. So, they put me on a flight tomorrow.

There are only two potential benefits. 1) I’m now going through Charlotte, which is generally pretty easy to navigate, and I’m usually able to get through customs pretty easily. 2) Right now it looks like no one is sitting next to me on the long leg. So, assuming no one switches seats in the next 24 hours, I should be able to stretch out and get comfortable.

Given the situation, I was very polite and understanding as I was on the phone with the airline. However, I will be getting on a flight tomorrow.

  1. Safe travels–can’t wait to see you!

  2. You will make it home and in one piece. In Jesus name! Amen!
