In case you didn’t know, yesterday was my birthday.  I didn’t do any spectacular partying, but that’s not really my thing anyway.  Yet, it was a great day.  My DC friends made me a video greeting, which made me laugh and cry (from joy).  I had been thinking earlier in the week that I just wanted to see everyone’s faces and hear their voices.  So, the video really meant a lot to me.  I thought about posting it, but there are few things that were said that would take some explaining.  It’s nothing inappropriate, but it might make you wonder without the back story.  If you haven’t seen it and want to see it, I’d be glad to show it to you the next time we happen to be together.  I also got lots of birthday greetings and well wishes from friends and family all over the world (and, by all over the world, I mean all over the US and Europe…which is the entire world, right?).  And, I got to skype with several of my family members and friends.

All in all, the day was just a really great reminder of how many people love me.  It’s always a great reminder to have when you are away from home.  I have some really great people in my life, and I am really thankful to have them as friends and family.  They are all a huge blessing in my life.  I probably need to be a little better about communicating that to them individually.

Life is good.

  1. I’m glad you had a good birthday and we finally got to chat (not skype) but catch up. Now you got me curious about the video… 🙂
Talk to you again soon! ❤
