Hello from the Netherlands!

Hello All!  I’ve made it safely to the Netherlands for my first Euro Adventure.  Today, my friend Dorina took me into Amsterdam, and we met up with Tomi.  I’m really enjoying everything so far.  It’s great seeing a new city and a new country for the first time, and it is especially great being able to tour with friends who know the area.  Plus, it’s been a year since the last time I was with both Dorina and Tomi. It’s great seeing them again.

Today I visited Amsterdam.  I didn’t go to the red light district, in case you were wondering, but I do plan on going once just to see.  I’ll be sure to tell you all my reaction.  We mostly just walked around the city to get a feel for what it looks like and feels like.  We had a lovely lunch at a Dutch cafe.

Being in such a different place is so exciting, and it makes me even more excited to see Ukraine.  Holland is so different than the US.  Everything looks different, smalls different, etc, but, you can find familiar brands and stores.  In Ukraine, however, I imagine the difference being much greater.  It makes me even more excited to go to Ukraine and get a feel for Krivoy Rog.
