Plans for June

I’ve been really busy the last few days trying to get ready for my upcoming vacation.  If you’ve been reading along the past few weeks, I’ve basically been planning for two trips, the first is just a vacation to visit some friends for a few weeks, and the second is the Ukraine trip.  The level of excitement is almost unbearable at this point.  Today, I’ll finish packing, go to a few meetings, and hang out with one of my good friends here in DC.

One of the meetings I have tonight is the first group meeting for the Ukraine team.  Caleb and Ashley, the team leaders, have been really gracious and flexible to arrange the schedule such that I’ll be able to attend the first and last meetings, since I will be out of the country for most of June.  I’ll be excited to give an update of that meeting later tonight or tomorrow morning.  The next 36 hours will be a little bit of a whirlwind, but I’ll be sure to keep you up to date.

Tomorrow, I’m leaving for what I am calling Euro Adventure #1.  I’ll be going to the Netherlands, Budapest, London, and a few other places as well.  Because I’ll be traveling, I may not be able to update this blog everyday.  However, I will try to update every few days.  Even though I’ll be abroad on vacation, I still will have a lot to think about, pray about, and plan for the upcoming Ukraine trip.  I’ll also still be raising financial support.  The only difference between what I’m doing now and what I’ll be doing the rest of the month is location.

That being said, I have a few goals I’m hoping to reach in the next few weeks.

June 9: The trip is 30% funded.  For those of you who are reaching for your calculators, that’s a total of $750.  I’m only $90 away from that goal!

June 16: I would love to reach the 50% mark, or $1250.

June 23: $1875

June 30: $2500 (aka 100%)

I’ll continue to blog, send out my support letter, etc, all month long.  The updates will just be coming from a wider variety of locations.

(Completely unrelated, I just completely embarrassed myself via email…good thing I’m able to laugh the little things off!)
